class 6c E

New task: Good morning dear class 6c,

Do you remember a very important part of our school policy? Elly Fit 3. So imagine you are responsible for our school cafeteria and you want to give it an extra healthy kick off. Design a menu for our school cafeteria which is very healthy, you can give your meals a cool name, maybe like

Anniston's extra spicy cream cheese.

and a short explanation on the ingredients

Anniston's extra spicy cream cheese: cream cheese with spices, herbs and onions, served with roasted bread.

I am excited to read your menus after we return to school. If you want to give it the extra portion of effort and get up your English grade, design a real menu on a separate piece of paper. This is a nice example: https://intranet.yardley.bham.sch.uk/School%20Meals/Forms/AllItems.aspx

Good morning dear class 6c,

this week we will talk about menus. You all now menus are divided into different sections. we have starters like small salats, there are main courses like spagetthi and there are desserts like
chocolate pudding.

in your books on page 71 exercise 4 you see this chart:

copy this chart into your exercise books and complete the chart with the words in the blue box. then you can add the words in exercise 4 b as well. Do you now more dishes?? go ahead and add them to your menu list.
Put a little star next to your favourite starter, main course and dessert.

by the way, don't forget to learn your vocabulary. You find all the words you need on page 216 and 217.

now write your own menu for one day (Workbook page 51 exercise 3!)

stay safe,

Ms. Scholzen

Good morning dear class 6c,

as I have heard, the book is not available right now. So we will go back to our next Unit. We will work on the topic food and drink As you do not have the WBI, VT and GT for this Unit we will only work with the Textbook and Workbook exercises and a few extra exercises I will write in this blog.
As an introduction, please have a look at p. 68 and 69.
1. Read the speech bubbles and learn about Holly's, Olivia's, Luke's and Jay's favourite food.
2. Do exercise 1 a+b on p. 68 and explain which texts belong to which kid.

3. What is your favourite food? Do exercise 3 on p. 69 and explain in a short text your favourite meal.
4. Write a shopping list for your favourite meal, maybe your parents can help your with the ingredients.
5. You could also use the time to cook your favourite meal for your family, take a picture of you preparing the food and put it next to your text.

Good morning dear class 6c,

faster than we thought you are now homeschooled. During the next three weeks I will send you all your tasks via this blog.
Your first task is to buy the following book. "The Dragonsitter to the rescue" by Josh Lacey. (ISBN: 978-1-79344-329-1)
You can either go to a books store or, if you feel safer, get it online. There are a couple of used copies you can buy for a cheaper prize if you are quick. 😉
If you buy the KLETT version, you will get the book also as an audiobook. So you can listen to the text and read along.

in Addition, please buy a A5 exercise book where you can write down the exercises you will complete during the following weeks.

stay safe,

Ms. Scholzen
