Good morning dear class 8c,

I hope you are all well and you got your version of "The land of Their Fathers" by now. Even if not you can complete your first tasks for your reading diary.

1. Design a cover page, you can ether design it on the first page inside your reading diary or on a separate piece of paper and glue it on the front page of your exercise book. It can be a copy of the cover page, or you can design anything else that you think might fit to the story.
example of a possible cover page for your reading diary.
2. Research the internet on information about the Ponca Tribe. Find out:
     1. How many Poncas lived in Norther America?
     2. Where did they live before the U.S. government forced them to leave their land?
     3. Where did they move?
     4. Who was Standing Bear?

stay safe

Good morning dear class 8c,

faster than we thought you are now homeschooled. During the next three weeks I will send you all your tasks via this blog.
Your first task is to buy the following book. "The Land of Their Fathers" by Allen J.Woppert. (ISBN: 3-464-06803-x)
There is an older version and a newer. You can choose for yourself, as they have the same story inside. I personally got the old book.

You can either go to a books store or, if you feel safer, get it online. There are a couple of used copies you can buy for a cheaper prize if you are quick. 😉

in Addition, please buy a A5 exercise book where you can write down the exercises you will complete during the following weeks.

stay safe,

Ms. Scholzen
